Peter Khoury is a respected finance executive within the South Australian business community having served two terms as State President of CPA Australia in 2004 and 2005.

With over 20 years experience in financial management, strategic management, and project and change management, Peter is a Principal heading up mhm's Business Consulting team.

Peter has been responsible for a variety of financial and strategic exercises; project management of a variety of large, complex projects within a range of industries in the private and public sectors (where effective change management is integral to the success of the projects), including project management of a significant shared services project in South Australia.

Peter's experience in project management spans many organisations and a variety of project management methodologies. Peter has been engaged in projects and organisations where there was a need for strong leadership.

Peter has also conducted organisational reviews and has been responsible for business transformations resulting in organisational improvements and business process reengineering.

Prior to consulting, Peter was often recruited to newly created finance executive positions where he established effective finance and corporate services functions.

Peter has held senior financial and commercial management positions within the public & private sectors, including the role of Financial Controller/Company Secretary for an international telecommunications company, which involved time spent working in Europe, and General Manager Corporate Services for a State Government Agency.

Peter's experience includes:

  • Project management of a significant shared services project in South Australia
  • Project management of both IT and non-IT projects, including change management o Financial management, including the establishment of effective finance functions
  • Organisational and strategic reviews
  • Development and implementation of strategic and business plans
  • Budget development and analysis
  • Financial performance and due diligence reviews

Peter brings highly developed skills to all of the projects he undertakes, including strong leadership skills, ability to think laterally and develop creative solutions, outstanding consultation skills with a people oriented approach, strong analytical skills and the confidence to challenge the status quo if necessary.
